steamer Posted July 15, 2011 Author #26 Posted July 15, 2011 OK, so here's what I know so far,Which my wife says is very little. Anyway,What I know is that when someone says " I just had it fully serviced" Translation, I just payed hundreds of dollars for an oil change. If the place he took it to did more then that I'll kiss thier mufflers. Carb sync needs to be done in a big way. Carbs probably need cleaning and setting. Everything needs to be lubed. Tire pressures were way to high. All fluids need to be changed. The good news is, it seems to be a sound trike,no major problems that I can find. Of course I just finished getting the silver beast (other RSV) just about perfect, and now I have to start all over with this one. Well at least I know what I,m doing now....OK stop laughing.
Handyman Posted July 16, 2011 #27 Posted July 16, 2011 So Steamer, now that you've had some time to ride the new trike. How do you like it? I have a 99 also and I'll be 80 in 12 more years and I'm starting to have thoughts about adding an extra wheel. Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated, also maybe a pic from the back. I'm already impressed with the side view. I'm not ready to give up my bike but,I think I could if it looked like your trike. Thanks Richard

But the trike is great for 2up.You see,me and the misses arn't little people, so we feel much more secure on the trike. It does take some getting use to,but once you get the hang of it it's pretty nice. This is a motortrike kit. It's no longer available for the Venture. The best conversion for the Venture is the Hannagan. Several people here have that conversion. Theres one for sale in the classified's It's the yellow one, and it's sweet. Just a little out of my price range. The best part about riding a trike is it is still a motorcycle. Just don't look behind you.
Handyman Posted July 17, 2011 #29 Posted July 17, 2011 Thanks Steamer, Too bad they quit makeing them. I think that kit adds too but doesn't cover up the bike like some kits do. It looks as good from the rear as it does from the side. Richard
