etcswjoe Posted July 16, 2011 Share #26 Posted July 16, 2011 I got mine out on the road today and all I can say is VERY SMOOTH . I'm sure the new lube, greased splines and drive shaft helped too. So far my first test drive on the E3 is all good.... Seemed like everyone had the Front E-3's on back-order when I got my tires so hopefully next time I will try E-3's. Seemed like I had to torgue the rear axle nut an awful lot to get 110 ft-lbs.
Grindo Posted July 16, 2011 Share #27 Posted July 16, 2011 Got mine completed today. Yammer stuck the shaft on the first try. After changing tire, brakes, and all the grease, and lube etc. I took the time to start waxing and cleaning while the bags were off. With all this talk about greasing and sticking of shafts and bag waxing I'm beginning to wonder about those guys.

Skid Posted July 16, 2011 Author Share #29 Posted July 16, 2011 Joe, I got these E3s last fall at the same time from Jake Wilson. I had an almost brand new Metzler that came on the bike. By waiting till now to change the rear I can probably change both tires again next time together. The Metzler still had half the tread, but I wanted rid of it.
