Sleeperhawk Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Dave, Kit, Mechanic and I took a nice little 340 mile ride today. Weather started out in the mid 40s and ended up in the mid 60s. :rasberry: Since Kit picked the direction and once I saw where we were headed, I told them let's ride on to Hilton Head for BBQ at Jim & Nicks. great BBQ, coconut cream pie and chocolate cream pie. HMMMM good. :cool10: No SNOW or ICE, just nice sunny day :7_2_104[1]:
GunnyButch Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 It was a nice day here but I had to work. We did play golf down at Sea Pines yesterday and it was a nice day too. Another good place for BBQ is just a little further down Hwy278 from Jim & Nicks is One Hot Mommas, they smoke thier own pork and make beer can chicken.
Guest KitCarson Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 It was a great day........just about perfect weather..........friends and bikes and the food was great. Especially that Coco-nut Creme Pie!! Yep that pie was good!
BEER30 Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 It was a great day........just about perfect weather..........friends and bikes and the food was great. Especially that Coco-nut Creme Pie!! Yep that pie was good! Did someone mention Cocoa-nut Cream Pie ! You dirty rotten scoundrel you , how dare you mention that without me around !:rotf: JK Glad you all had a great ride . I took a ride to Fayetteville on business and the ride & weather was great . By the way , which one of you has the biggest headache with Kit's new pipes ? BEER30
Sleeperhawk Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 Kit's pipes are nice and loud too. But Mechanic and I were riding between Kit and Dave, you don't hear our bike just theirs. But no headaches. Becky will need ear plugs with those pipes echoing off the beer cart.
Sleeperhawks Mechanic Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 After editing pictures, ended up with 111 for Sleeperhawk to upload, which he is starting on now! Great day for a ride with friends and icing on the day was Jim n Nicks BBQ and chocolate creme pie! Ummmmm Yummy! (which I didn't have to make!)

With several things I have said on this site, been trying to teach folks among friends there is no need to be politically correct, I already know they are just messing around. You will love the pipes......they are loud but not too loud, have a nice deep rumble at idle and the stops, and a steady roar at speed, evidently a little pop from the AIS that I could not hear at speed on Decel.......did gain some HP, as I can run easy in 5th gear at 55 at cruise. Still need to down shift naturally to speed up or pass, but does not lug the motor at that speed just on a lazy easy road. So if you have time before Santa gives you yours........and if you do an oil change and have the filter off, plug the AIS, as it appears we need to do so. That is that thing that does all the polluting.

Kit , that was just for the more sensitive folks here on the forum . I will not mention names . :rotf::stirthepot: I thought seriously of coming down , but I got an emergency business situation that needed my upmost attention ..that means right away and of course an other great excuse to rolls some miles on the scoot ! Also have to put up a privacy fence on the property today . BEER30
mini-muffin Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Have you been out scaring the neighbors again Gene? You need to wear some clothes, then you wouldn't need the fence. :rotf::rotf: Of course then you don't have to look at them little dogs next door either. Margaret
Guest tesnevo Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 I envy you on the trip. My buddy and I left from Nashville, TN and rode to Kitty Hawk and up through Cornelia (outer banks) to the edge of the coast this summers end. It was a great ride ,except for the 275 mile leg through pouring rain. All in all it was excellent. I want another trip out there soon.

Margaret Mini , it's my God's given gift to have the choice to run outside necked . It's only that I have the compassion to build the fence for the welfare of my neighbors ..... dogs too ! :rotf: BEER30
