Just kidding..... its early.. but no I do not have a clue, could be a " Fender liner" that it is holding in place, ?????

The Royal Stars and TDs use a bolt there to hold the rear seat in place. I suppose rather than have another design of rear fender, they use the same one and just stick a bolt in the hole to cover it. I haven't looked at an RSV enough to notice that.

There is a solitary bolt centered on the rear fender just behind the passenger seat. Does anyone know what it is for? I was just wondering.
Ya had to see what it felt like to take off the trunk and make like a RSTD. So now you found a bolt that will make everybody nervous as to what it's for :confused24:, and we'll have to take off the front seat to get the back seat off and so on to see if we have the same thing. Oh well, I didn't have anything else to do today anyway. :rotf:

I don't think removing just one bolt will make our bikes that ugly.
