We're on our way home from the west coast. Tonight we're in Grants NM. We left home on the 21st for a ride to Oregon and N. California coast. So far we've travelled about 4800 miles. We plan to be home on Friday.

For our route covered you can see it at: http://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=2fd74df6c9a6b12d4

If you are bored and need something to look at, I've posted photos each day to my web site. They can be found at:

We made it home! WhooooHoooooo!

We left Fenton, MO around 7:00 this morning and arrived home around 3:45 this afternoon. We chased the rain all the way today but never really caught up with it. We hit a few wet roads but the rain was always ahead of us.

Now for a few stats.

16 Days of travel

15 hotel stays

6277 miles ridden

17 states visited (not counting KY)

46 gas stops

185 gallons of gas consumed (my bike)

33.8 mpg (pulling the trailer)

Cheapest gas - $3.33/gallon (regular)

Most expensive gas - $4.79/gallon (regular)

Temperatures varied from the low 40's to an observed 107 degrees (F)

What a trip. Overall it was a pretty smooth trip even if we were a bit rushed. Other than the minor delay with the trailer tire, the bikes performed flawlessly and we had no close calls to speak of. We saw some incredible sites, and some not so incredible ones along the way.

No, not yet. Maybe tomorrow. I've got dirt in places I didn't know I had places.
