I think my scoot has had it's last bath!!!:depressed:

Last few times I washed it things went wrong! :shock3:

Just before Doodle's MD gave it a bath and one of the wind deflectors, by the right front fork, fell off. The good news there is it fell off in my driveway.

Washed it before MD in Ohio, the other deflector is on the highway somewhere north of Cincinnatti :(

Today I washed it to go to kbran's MD and now the intercom sounds like the fuel pump is running in my helmet headset!!! :headache:

It's not the washing your bike doesn't like, it's the MD's that are too traumatic for it to stand so it falls to pieces. :dancefool:

I never wash my bike. If it needs cleaning I will use Griot's Speed Shine or Harley spray cleaner and polish at least once a week. It's a lot of work but at least it looks good. Where I live if I don't do it rust will start taking over and I do not want that to happen cause I LOVE my bike.:bighug:

I wash mine all the time, and have never had a problem. Dry the connectors out with contact cleaner, then add a bit of dielectric grease.
