dingy Posted May 8, 2012 #752 Posted May 8, 2012 Pics?? Dan, I refer you to your post #681, which happens to be the last one with pic's, dated 4/14/12. Noting the difference between these two sets of pictures appears to be the OSB on part of the roof, I think you should give the Warden a big kiss for letting a slacker share her fine home. Gary
FuzzyRSTD Posted May 8, 2012 #753 Posted May 8, 2012 with a power tool... Nice, glad you got some pics up Dan. So how far are you now ? More pictures would be nice with that newfangled camera.... Fuzzy :thumbsup2:

Flyinfool Posted May 10, 2012 #758 Posted May 10, 2012 Ze pile. She is shrinking..... Did you or your neighbors have a bonfire?
Yammer Dan Posted May 10, 2012 Author #759 Posted May 10, 2012 Yeah you all going to laugh when you see my beautiful Garage!!! Looks like weather is going to coperate for a few days. Warden tells me Sat is taken. Biggest Yard Sale of the year in Charleston and taking her Mother to dinner.Toting that OSB up on there is getting me.
Yammer Dan Posted May 11, 2012 Author #760 Posted May 11, 2012 Sitting here watching sun warm up garage this morning. My want to went some where. Think I'll have another cup of coffee. Retirement: When you can ignore that list now and then!!

Retirement: When you can ignore that list now and then!! Will you still be carrying OSB up the ladder yet when the snow flies again????
Yammer Dan Posted May 12, 2012 Author #762 Posted May 12, 2012 (edited) Must have got me fired up!! I got more done on Garage than I have for a while in one day. Its hard to believe how much scrambling around and up and down a ladder this involves. Crippled old man ain't supposed to do this. Good thing I'm not one..... Edited May 12, 2012 by Yammer Dan
Yammer Dan Posted May 12, 2012 Author #764 Posted May 12, 2012 Got to take Warden and her Mom to Flea Market and dinner tomorrow. Sheeting should be finished Monday. It will take a while to screw everything down as well as I want. This thing is SOLID. Not sparing the screws. Even adding a few nails. Underlayment shouldn't take long and then it looks like I get to cut every piece of metal. Its about 2 inches too long.....:bang head:
Keemez Posted May 12, 2012 #765 Posted May 12, 2012 So Dan, here's a question that hasn't yet been asked. Or if it has, it was eons ago and I'm not searching thru 763 posts to find it... Will each Venture have its own cell? Will the windows have bars on them?
Yammer Dan Posted May 12, 2012 Author #766 Posted May 12, 2012 Bars to keep those 2nd Genners from stealing them.....
Redneck Posted May 13, 2012 #768 Posted May 13, 2012 Bars to keep those 2nd Genners from stealing them.....You don't have anything to worry about scrap plastic isn't worth squat.
Yammer Dan Posted May 13, 2012 Author #769 Posted May 13, 2012 You don't have anything to worry about scrap plastic isn't worth squat. :rasberry::rasberry::rasberry::rasberry: I ain't had coffee yet!!!
Lil Venturous Posted May 13, 2012 #771 Posted May 13, 2012 If your metal is 2 inches to long you could maybe add another gutter board, building it out another inch and a half with that?
Trader Posted May 13, 2012 #772 Posted May 13, 2012 It might be a blessing in disguise. The metal will extend over the evestrough a little. Water will still drop into the trough, but perhaps snow and ice will slide right over it without ripping it off!
Yammer Dan Posted May 13, 2012 Author #773 Posted May 13, 2012 Being kind of Anal with it. Not building it for somebody else...
Yammer Dan Posted May 14, 2012 Author #774 Posted May 14, 2012 One piece of OSB board left today and it started pouring the rain!! Afraid I might Melt!! It is getting close to looking like a roof!! Yeah Yeah I know.... I can see it fine!!
Yammer Dan Posted May 14, 2012 Author #775 Posted May 14, 2012 Raining this morning so I went back to bed. Just got up. Ain't retirement FUN?? At least I won't have to take a nap today!!Always planning ahead!!
