Gonna have to watch this one!

I have two garages. The one we park the season car. That's the car we are driving for the present season, summer, along with the Road Star (mine) and RSV (ours).

In the back garage (shop) which is 40X60 and barely big enough for the truck, car trailer w/car inside, two more Mustangs and the off season car. Plus a ton of storage for the stuff, I don't have junk. The shop has two 10X10 overhead doors and two 12X14 rollup doors.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

A picture would be good. Are those doors all along the 60' side?

A squared plus B squared equals C squared.

40 squared plus 18 squared equals 1924 which becomes 43.864 feet. about 43 feet and 10 inches.

I could be wrong because it has been awhile.

I also believe that is what the Scarecrow quotes after the wizard gives him a brain in the wizard of oz.

43' 10" ??? 19 " out with diagonals of 43' and 44' 7" Divide the difference and that is pretty close to 43' 10". 43' 9 1/2" & 43' 9 1/2. I know what is needed just can't move that concrete. That would make it sprung only 4 3/4" on each corner or 2 3/8s" depending on which eye you were looking with.

It is hard to do without a transit but all these guys seem to think I need to rework the whole thing. My footers are anywhere from 14" to 18" wide. Couple spots 20" wide. He couldn't dig in a straight line. A block is only 8" wide. I hate to tell these guys that are supposed to know what they are doing that if they can't wiggle that thing in there they don't know what the F*** they are doing but...... I know it is hard to picture what I'm saying here and pics wouldn't help but I have beat myself up for what 3 weeks and the dam thing can be made to work. The Hell with all of them!!! I can add 2x2 and I learnt "Old School" when you had to make do with what you had!!

Why don't you build the garage at 38'-4" long x 18'-0" wide?

This would be a square rectangle that would fit inside the catywompus polygon slab that you have.

Set back one end the 11 1/4" it is out and set the other end back the 9 9/16" it is out.

See post #324

Ya, the hanging triangle slabs on the end are going to look wierd, but that is where creative mulching will come in. Let somebody moan about it at the estate auction.

If you don't quit worrying and mulling this, it will be a slab in the estate sale.

This is based on the idea that the two 40' sides are parallel within reason.

Stretching it out to a 50' pad and using all the play I could on the footers I got it down to 1/2 " out. This is going from inside edge to outside edge of footers where needed. That was my last measurment on it. Leg says quit and take pills. 1/2 inch I can deal with. Block will be hanging over footer couple of inches on one corner at this but I'm getting close. I can probally get closer. Should have dug up transit somewhere. Do they rent those things? Then dig in my brain to remember how to use it.

BUT IT'S BIGGER!!:clap2::clap2: 50' x 18'

It is one thing to clean up your own mess, I talked to a contractor friend of mine and showed him your pics. He said that he would not touch finishing a job like that unless he was going to dig everything out and start over. He said that with the poor masonry work there is to high of a risk that something bad will happen in a couple of years and then he would be the one called and expected to fix it under warranty.

This may be why some of the "real" contractors are hesitant.

Most construction companies are not open on weekends I would expect a voice mail during non business hours.

Geeeeezzzzzzzz These retired folks that forget what a weekend means to us working slobs......:stickpoke::rotf:

Thanks Flyingfool, my parents forget that a lot.......

Work??

Work........No thanks ...... I'd rather be hunting or riding or riding and or hunting. Shucks I think I will just paint my bike camo and get me a trailer painted camo and haul my hunting gear around and visit all that are on this site and hunt in their state and enjoy my life forever or until I run out of money.

Bad idea, no money and I have to go back to work Monday morning ...... :rippedhand:

Naaaa, I am blessed and really am glad to be able to work and take care of my family. I still think that was a good idea though, camo RSTD with matching trailer. Storage on top for bow cases and tents....mmmmmmmmm
