Venturous Randy Posted September 1, 2011 #202 Posted September 1, 2011 Found camera cord. It won't work!!! Does your camera have an SD card in it that you could transfer pictures to your computer, maybe thru the printer? RandyA
Stache Posted September 1, 2011 #203 Posted September 1, 2011 Does your camera have an SD card in it that you could transfer pictures to your computer, maybe thru the printer? RandyA How would printing the pictures transfer them to the computer? :stirthepot:
Venturous Randy Posted September 1, 2011 #204 Posted September 1, 2011 How would printing the pictures transfer them to the computer? :stirthepot: On my All-in-One printer there is a slot for an SD card. When I plug a card into it, it automatically down loads anything on the card to the computer. It works the same as if I plugged the cable from the camera to the computer. RandyA
Yammer Dan Posted September 1, 2011 Author #205 Posted September 1, 2011 Can't find place for card on it. Older Dell printer.
BradT Posted September 2, 2011 #206 Posted September 2, 2011 Can't find place for card on it. Older Dell printer. With the recent Birthday, just about every thing is old, like the antiques you want to store in the new Garage. If the computer has a USB port you can get a card reader that will plug into this port. Brad
GAWildKat Posted September 2, 2011 #207 Posted September 2, 2011 hmmmm I have a usb card reader that I'm not using. Dan, you want it?
Yammer Dan Posted September 2, 2011 Author #208 Posted September 2, 2011 hmmmm I have a usb card reader that I'm not using. Dan, you want it? Wouldn't know what to do with it. Going for new camera soon.
dingy Posted September 2, 2011 #209 Posted September 2, 2011 You know Yammer, this thread, while some what enlightening about the pitfalls of handing someone in a pickup with a hand painted sign on the door "Garages are Us", a chunk of cash (several times), it pales in comparison to the one you and Mini had going several months ago. You need to do something to liven it up, say, Some Pictures. You gotta know somebody that could help you out. We really want to see the damages. A picture is worth a thousand words ya know. Even if they take them with a cell phone and send them to one of us. Some of have the technology to make them appear here. You would think a man with your experience in dealing with people that may have, on occasion, not told you the complete truth would be more experienced when it comes to listening to the B.S. that this entrepreneur must have given you. Yammer Dan Posted September 2, 2011 Author #210 Posted September 2, 2011 As I said he talked a good game and I bit. Can't believe it myself. I'll get pics sooner or later.
BuddyRich Posted September 2, 2011 #211 Posted September 2, 2011 Ain't that you on the right there Dan?
Yammer Dan Posted September 3, 2011 Author #213 Posted September 3, 2011 Got another guy coming to look today. This is a local boy. I also ordered a camera cord!! If something don't start going right this could be the longest thread in the history of this site!!!

Gary http://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/af193/gdingy101/thread_is_worthless.jpg Thank you Dingy. You have spoken for a lot of people whom have been following the thread to the discouraging garage build at Yammers. Now is the time to "Getter Done". ..... Thanks.
Yammer Dan Posted September 3, 2011 Author #215 Posted September 3, 2011 And another "No Show" What do you want pics of? A pile of block & Mud?? Can't cut the grass for the mess so it is star ting to look really good. May have to buy a Goat!!
Yammer Dan Posted September 4, 2011 Author #216 Posted September 4, 2011 Weekend gone and he didn't show. I've been trying to go with little guy instead of bigger companies. I think I'll check a few of them this week. I was thinking I would save money but not at this rate.
oldgoat Posted September 4, 2011 #217 Posted September 4, 2011 what no seabees on this fourm? some army grunts ? engineers? that cant help this poor man get a garage up?. im too far away dan but there are some guys that are behind home depo here or maybe there looking for work
Yammer Dan Posted September 5, 2011 Author #218 Posted September 5, 2011 Mention the word work and they start leaving. Or just don't show up!! Back in the days when I did this kind of stuff I lived for the extra jobs. Just can't figure.
Yammer Dan Posted September 5, 2011 Author #219 Posted September 5, 2011 Wish this rain would go to Texas. Now I got a big pile of mud!!
Flyinfool Posted September 5, 2011 #220 Posted September 5, 2011 Get some quotes. Sometimes the big guys are less money, and you know they will show up to work, and never ask to be paid up front. Progress payments yes, but not prepayment. After all they did not get to be big by making unhappy customers or ripping people off.
Yammer Dan Posted September 5, 2011 Author #221 Posted September 5, 2011 Thats where I'm headed Jeff. I'm about fed up with this mess. And the Warden ain't what you would call happy with the mess in "her" lawn....Wonder why it ain't "hers" when it needs cut??

Yammer Dan Posted September 5, 2011 Author #223 Posted September 5, 2011 Rain all day. I had about decided to lay the block myself yesterday. Got most things ready and was trying to figure out puzzle he left on footers when rain started. It will take cutting a lot of block to make it work. What a Idiot. Wonder what Idiot hired that Idiot!!
BradT Posted September 6, 2011 #224 Posted September 6, 2011 Wonder what Idiot hired that Idiot!! I think we may know, but we would only be guessing Brad
FuzzyRSTD Posted September 6, 2011 #225 Posted September 6, 2011 Yes, I understand Yammer. I got a few guys from work to pour the concrete for my garage floor. I had been through an operation on my knee at this time and was on crutches. I had first gotten a quote from a good contractor, while waiting on my request from the guys at work. Well the contractor gave me a good quote without even looking at it, just used my figures for the size and gave me the ballpark figure. Well $500.00 was not to bad from the guys at work for the labor, even though they really did not want to do it. I went with them and now I wished that I had got the contractor. The job was OK, but I am sure it would have been a lot better from the contractor after all was said and done. I would go with a reputable big guy on this. Don't buy the goat either, just get the big guys to come take a look and weed eat a little just before they come over. James
