No Show. Now I'm hoping he won't. Got things to do and can't sit around waiting on him. His workers look to hard at my "junk and toys" to trust them here alone.

Are all of the materials for the job already on your property? They are yours, you paid for them. Are there any of his tools or equipment on your property, that could be a bargaining chip for at least a partial refund for work that was paid for but not done.

You could just send him a certified letter with return receipt as proof that he did receive something from you that you claim was a cease work order. Since there is no completion date in the contract I do not know if you will be able recover and money paid to him or recover the cost of the new contractor as the cost of damages.

Take lots of pics and make sure the time and date stamp is turned on. Take pics at the end of EVERY day whether or not any work got done. You need to be doing some of your own CYA.

I think that any reputable contractor that is looking to finish this job will be understanding of your wish to have a completion date with penalties for being late written into the new contract. I would be wary of any that do not understand.

Once you have him officially fired, contact every local referral service and the BBB. Maybe you can save someone else from the same Grief you are having. While you are talking to the local referral services find out about some good contractors.

If all of the materials for the job are already there, expect the next contractor to bid high on the labor since he will not be making anything on the materials. You have a carrot of future work (if he does a good job cleaning up this mess) to try to get that cost down some.

Good luck.

Good choice. Now to find him to tell him he is done.

Won't answer phone never been at his house when I showed up there. Just shows up when he wants to.

About the worse screw-up I have ever had.

I haven't been here. Neither has he!! Took Warden to ER for one of her bouts with her gut. Tricked me. They kept her!! I haven't been in bed since I took her. I remembered how she stayed with me. She is still there but insisted I come home for nap!! They still don't know what is going on. I need her Fixed and QUICK!!!

She is in a lot of pain and they don't know why. Morphine don't work on it. Toradal (spelling) seems to help a little. Not something I can fight. Hate to see her like that. She even now made me come home to get some rest. Thoughts and Prayers for her will be appreciated. I miss her already.....:crying:

Have you considered holding an "M,B & E" (Meet, Build, & Eat) to get the garage built?

Good idea there. I know I would help if closer to Dan. Surely there's enough hands in his area to get'r done.

Good luck at the hospital Dan.

Prayers sent for the Warden and you too Dan. Prayers sent for the contractor too so that you wont hurt him so bad....(although a good head kick would be in order)

Got to bring her home but they still know nothing. Back Monday for more tests. This is getting old. Contractor was here might have laid 60 or 70 blocks. Messy as usual. I have a antique Dodge sitting out back with mortar slung all over it!!

I have thought of a M&E but its so much of a mess now. Was thinking of cookout in "New" Garage..... Any body got one???
