Z Factor Posted December 7, 2007 #1 Posted December 7, 2007 I am not sure what section this should go in since the WTB section I found did not seem to have a new topic tab. So if this is not the right place for it, please move it to the appropriate section. I have a 1987 Venture Royale and need a few items. Most of these were lifted off the bike while at a shop getting a tune up. Rear passenger control module Rider and passenger attachable bags 1 Intercom/Radio volume knob Cassette deck cover Coolant bottle cap (not radiator) Left engine side cover vent 1 engine side cover band (rubber piece holding bottom of cover) Needless to say if anyone has a line on these items please let me know.
Rocket Posted December 7, 2007 #2 Posted December 7, 2007 I have a 1987 Venture Royale and need a few items. Most of these were lifted off the bike while at a shop getting a tune up. Rear passenger control module Rider and passenger attachable bags Intercom/Radio volume knob Cassette deck cover Coolant cap Left engine cover vent (my individual slats got knocked in and I suspect they cannot be repaired). Can the slats be replaced, or must the whole panel be replaced? It's color is cream and dark metallic brown Needless to say if anyone has a line on these items please let me know. If you can, get the shop to replace them, bike was in their care........ The rain cover for the cassette deck was about $20. new from dealer, last time I looked. There may be some parts available from members, otherwise ebay, as some of these items are pricey for new stuff (if still available).
sarges46 Posted December 7, 2007 #3 Posted December 7, 2007 I was in Ebay two days ago and some of those parts are there.
86er Posted December 7, 2007 #4 Posted December 7, 2007 One of the places that I have used for pricing and the schematics is Flatout Motorcycles. Try that link. Good luck!
Z Factor Posted December 7, 2007 Author #5 Posted December 7, 2007 If you can, get the shop to replace them, bike was in their care........ They told me to fly a kite, so I never went back to them. They have since gone out of business, probably because of indifference to their customers.
cmiles3 Posted December 7, 2007 #6 Posted December 7, 2007 I might have the bags, and maybe a vent. Is the plastic frame of the vent intact, or broken? PM me if interested.
Z Factor Posted December 21, 2007 Author #7 Posted December 21, 2007 Still looking for the parts. Does Yamaha still have OEM parts for our models. If not, is there a past depot anywhere that specializes in providing new or used parts for us?

Geeze!!, where did you take it to for the the tune up, a chop shop??? On the side cover vents, I've tried to repair them but haven't been successfull. Didn't I see a post about them still being available new?? Or am I halucinating again....?? On the rest of the stuff, Ebay is about the only place I can think of. Oh yeah, contact Eck, I know he has a few free First Gen parts available.

The place has since gone out of business, but at the time they repaired and sold motorcycles. However I just heard the other day that the place was a front for a chop shop. I looked at my side cover vent and it is broken beyond repair and needs to be replaced. Thanks for the advice.

I've had that problem before. I thought I took care of that. You can also email me at a1bummer@yahoo.com and let me know which one ya need and an address I can mail it to. I just unchecked a couple boxes. Try the PM thing again. We'll see if I fixed it THIS time.
