BIG TOM Posted June 26, 2011 #1 Posted June 26, 2011 Have been feeling bad the last couple of days . Last night I thought I had the flu.....fever ,chills, then sweats...every bone in my body aches and I've been light headed...I had a terrible nights sleep.....got up this morning awaiting Rockets arrival...I looked down at my right arm and noticed a red line from my finger (which I scraped the other day) extent completely up my arm and into my armpit...It was bright red and hot to the touch..... well, I still didn't feel any better, in fact I felt worse than yesterday.........long story short....a call to my dr. was in order and he insisted that I go to the ER....He was right...looks like I have lymphangitis often called blood poisoning........to think a little scrape the size of a ladybug could cause me so much trouble....well, I have a scrip from the dr. and started taking the HORSE pills this afternoon....still waiting on ROCKET...HE IS VERY CLOSE...about 1 hr away...hope these pills work fast.............
Yammer Dan Posted June 26, 2011 #2 Posted June 26, 2011 Take care of it. I know all about those surprises. That one could be bad if not caught in time. LISTEN to the DOCS!!
Freebird Posted June 26, 2011 #3 Posted June 26, 2011 Really sorry to hear it Tom. I'm always amazed at how simple things can sometimes cause such big problems. Hope the meds take hold fast and you get back to normal soon...well...as normal as you were before. In the meantime, if you have any bananas, they are supposed to be really good for whatever ails you.
Flyinfool Posted June 26, 2011 #4 Posted June 26, 2011 Gee Tom, your not supposed to do things like that. Do what the doc says and get better quick.

Marcarl Posted June 26, 2011 #7 Posted June 26, 2011 You'd best be feeling better real soon,,,, like right quick,,, otherwise that Rod guy will do something funny, and Rocket will get into trouble,,,,,,, and then I'll have to come over there to set things right again.
cecdoo Posted June 26, 2011 #8 Posted June 26, 2011 Thought maybe you contracted some rare "Icelandic" illness, but that blood poison is just as bad, listen to the Drs and take the meds. and a banana every 4 hrs:rasberry: Craig
Aussie Annie Posted June 27, 2011 #10 Posted June 27, 2011 Hope it improves soon. Take one horse pill, lick two big ice creams and lie down
bongobobny Posted June 27, 2011 #11 Posted June 27, 2011 Take two pills and call me in the morning...
mini-muffin Posted June 27, 2011 #13 Posted June 27, 2011 This isn't what you do to get a little off time Tom. Now you take good care of yourself. You'll need your strength for Rocket and Rod, I hear they do cause a lot of trouble. Margaret
GAWildKat Posted June 27, 2011 #14 Posted June 27, 2011 First Dan, now you get sick Tom, you guys are going to make me grey before my time sheesh. Now that you're sick you can't come to Georgia and try down home cooking from me. Get plenty of rest and fluids and only 2 bananas a day mister, too much potassium from them can cause a heart attack. Kat

So, I did the next best thing and ate it for you! I feel much better now! Ice cream works!!!!!!!! Get well soon, Tom. Jim
adventurer Posted June 27, 2011 #22 Posted June 27, 2011 sorry to hear about your problems, hope you get better soon. if all else fails get some leaches to bleed you, works every time.
Guest Posted June 27, 2011 #23 Posted June 27, 2011 So is it the arm that you lift the ice cream spoon with? If so thats a real tragedy. Ill hoist a working cow ice cream cone tomorrow for ya. Hmmm, lets see, maple walnut in a waffle cone with chocolate sprinkles.... Hope you feel better soon.
saddlebum Posted June 27, 2011 #24 Posted June 27, 2011 You be careful big guy, these things are nothing to fool with. If the sore is still open it would not hurt to soak it in warm salt water as much as you can.
Rickster Posted June 27, 2011 #25 Posted June 27, 2011 You will do anything to pass your PINK feather duster to Vicki.............. Hope you feel better soon.
