Freebird Posted December 6, 2007 #1 Posted December 6, 2007 Leather with Lycra. They say that it is more abrasion resistant than conventional leather and yet stretches and holds its shape as well as being water resistant. Will be interesting to see what comes of it.
Marcarl Posted December 6, 2007 #2 Posted December 6, 2007 More abrasion resistant? could be and so is kevlar and steel. I just wonder why use leather at all. The leather must be very thin, or completely remade to be able to stretch like that. Might just as well do away with it altogether.
Condor Posted December 6, 2007 #3 Posted December 6, 2007 I noticed they didn't compare abrasiion resistance to buffalo hide, but just to man made materials. They also stayed away from adding Kevlar to the man made list???
