friesman Posted June 20, 2011 #3 Posted June 20, 2011 I could be in but, It depends on pricing, and what is involved for the install. but it looks like it could be a cool idea to brighten up the old cluster. Ronnie, i dont think this will fix your speedo, as i think these are paper overlays over the backing on your intruments in the pod, Not a replacement for any parts. brian PS do they make it so the kms are on the top? not the miles for us Canadian types?
Zane Posted June 20, 2011 #4 Posted June 20, 2011 Tried the link and got sent to a search engine. Can ya check the link?
ronnie86 Posted June 20, 2011 #5 Posted June 20, 2011 I know it won`t fix it, I was donating it as a pattern speedometer for the overlay.
friesman Posted June 20, 2011 #6 Posted June 20, 2011 Brian, I think Ronnie is referring to sending his face plate in as a sample for them to duplicate! DOH! I shoulda thought of that.....
Zane Posted June 20, 2011 #7 Posted June 20, 2011 I know it won`t fix it, I was donating it as a pattern speedometer for the overlay.
friesman Posted June 20, 2011 #8 Posted June 20, 2011 Tried the link and got sent to a search engine. Can ya check the link? Here is the right one , it was spelled wrong. http://www.whitegauges.net/ Brian
reddevilmedic Posted June 20, 2011 Author #9 Posted June 20, 2011 oops on the spelling. skydoc has an 87 cluster he can donate. i also need an 83-85 cluster. not sure about the km/h. on their facebook page, they say they charge 19.99 for white guages and 49.99 for colors. but if you check the correct link, there are all kinds of colors. really would dress up the dash.
dingy Posted June 20, 2011 #12 Posted June 20, 2011 Is this an overlay for the face of the speedo/tach faces or a colored transparent plastic that would attach to the face of the plexiglass cover? Pulling the needles of off the gauges to install an overlay on them could be a hit or miss action. Gary
reddevilmedic Posted June 20, 2011 Author #13 Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) its an overlay for the face. there is a video tutorial on their site. it just slides over the needles. they even offer needle paint. Edited June 20, 2011 by reddevilmedic

reddevilmedic Posted June 28, 2011 Author #15 Posted June 28, 2011 guages have been sent out by skydoc. turn around time, according to whiteguages.net, is about 2-3 weeks before we can start getting overlays. this allows time for developement. white guages, im excited!!
friesman Posted June 28, 2011 #16 Posted June 28, 2011 so what is it? 83-93?? 83 and 84 are the different instrument pods if I remember right. Brian
cpd3020 Posted June 29, 2011 #17 Posted June 29, 2011 Here is the right one , it was spelled wrong. http://www.whitegauges.net/ Brian Awesome! I want a lighter color.... Probably just white...
Russ Posted June 30, 2011 #18 Posted June 30, 2011 I wonder if they could drop a VentureRider logo up in there....
reddevilmedic Posted July 1, 2011 Author #19 Posted July 1, 2011 83-85 show the same part numbers for the speedo and tach. even though the cmu changed, i think the meters stayed the same to 93. someone correct me if im wrong
reddevilmedic Posted August 31, 2011 Author #20 Posted August 31, 2011 (edited) ok, so i got the dash overlay kit from whitegauges.net last week. just havnt had the time to post, sorry. im going to show some pics of the kit, then later this week do a writeup of the installation. looks very straightforward. the only problem i have, is apparently the 83 speedo is different. where it sdays "60" on my speedo, it will be "55" on the overlay. no biggie, just watch my speed by 5mph. this kit is available for 19.99, i believe. colors other than white, will be more. thank you all for your patience, and thanks to skydoc for the extra guages. they custom made these just for us !!! please post a reply if you intend on ordering. i would like to keep up with it. thanks. i just ordered some carbon fiber sheet from jdm, to change the appearance of the instrument pod. waiting for that first, so i dont have to remove cluster twice.
