Sling Posted June 13, 2011 #5 Posted June 13, 2011 That would be mine. I bought it about two years ago (see link below). We brought it to maintenance day this year. I had tools, all our clothing, folding camp chair, my mountain dulcimer, extra jackets, small soft sided cooler bag. Fully loaded for this trip it weighed in at 136 pounds. The trailer is small but how much do you really need to carry along. We had room in the saddlebags and trunk for chaps and rain gear. Nothing was overcrowded. There was extra room if needed. The nice thing about this trailer is, when we travel, we always ask for a room on the first floor and make sure the motel has outside doors to each room. This trailer fits through all standard doors. We bring it in the house to pack it and leave it in the motel room while out riding. Unfortunately, the motel in Elyria messed up and gave us the second floor but that is the first time that was a problem. Even so, we just left it outside attached to the bike. No big deal. Riding with it, you don't even know it is there. I am in the habit of looking back alot to make sure it is still there!! http://www.lilthoroughbredtrailers.com/id2.html
Bubber Posted June 13, 2011 #6 Posted June 13, 2011 Mebbe she needs to go on a diet:think: What are you saying? MY wife is fat? She prefers FLUFFY by the way! :rotf::rotf:
BEER30 Posted June 13, 2011 #8 Posted June 13, 2011 Riding with it, you don't even know it is there. I am in the habit of looking back alot to make sure it is still there!! Sling , I have the same issue even with the larger "BEERCART". Especially at night, I mounted a "True-Glow" tube under the BERCART to be able to see it. Though the light doesn't shine up to see, it reflects off the white or yellow paint strip on the road. That I can see with a quick glance down out of the corner of my eye. Plus another safety light to be seen at night. You could imagine being a trailer this big will be noticeable, but 95% of the time, I do not notice it being behind me. I've also thought about mounting an LED single light on the dash. Wire it up to the trailer by means of only having a single ground wire connected to the trailer with a QD plug. Power to the LED indicator, with ground to the trailer. If the trailer comes loose, it will jerk the ground wire QD apart and LED will shut off. When not pulling the trailer, the LED will remain off and not annoy me. Just a little bit of security of knowing it's still there when not seen. BEER30
