Hey Kreg, I would love to make it down to work on my carbs. I'll plan on being there about 0900hrs. If I get called in to work I'll let ya'll know. I saw Gooses post on the Gumout cleaner, what else do I need besides some tools? Really looking forward to seeing everyone again!:bighug:

That would be great!! Hope you can make it. I think that is all you will need, if we do need anything else, there are 2 auto parts store within 5 miles from the house.

Just a comment on Gooses recommendation on Gumout. No doubt Gumout is fine and I have used it in mass quantities over the years. It was the carb cleaner of choice for us way back when. Im just offering a possible alternative for parts that are already removed. Recently I had to clean my Throttle Body on my 02 Trailblazer. It was dirty and had heavy deposits, interrupting the flow of air. Carb cleaner was taking too long so I had a bottle of Lestoil on the shelf so I made a mixture and set the part in a container, got out my trusty old toothbrush and went at it. Took the grunge right off and the soap dont hurt anything. I did cover the electrical connection first and did not submerse it in the solution. Worked like a charm. Maybe it would work just as well for those float bowls if they are off the bike. I also used Lestoil to remove a years worth of BBQ deposits from my cast iron grates. Grease lifted off real easy after a soak in there. Just a thought here.....

We can never let Doodle think he's right or made a right decision about anything!
