mmoffitt Posted June 9, 2011 #1 Posted June 9, 2011 I dropped my 06 RSV off last week at the stealership because the rear shock was leaking. Even though you all told me that it was covered under warranty, I still expected them to come back and say it wasn't covered for some obscure reason....Well, I got the call today that my shock was in and they have received approval from Yamaha to replace it! So in a few days I'll have the bike back...Just in time for our 2700 mile trip!
V7Goose Posted June 9, 2011 #2 Posted June 9, 2011 So maybe, just maybe, based on the fair treatment you received from this establishment, you should call them a DEALERSHIP instead of a stealership? Goose
Mariner Fan Posted June 9, 2011 #3 Posted June 9, 2011 I got a buddy with a Suzuki M109. His tranny just took a dump and now he has to put out big bucks to fix it. I still have a year and a half of warranty on my bike. Can't beat that!!!
Sideoftheroad Posted June 9, 2011 #4 Posted June 9, 2011 Bob, Did he have a 1 yr warranty? That bike never moves so how did the tranny go sour?
Mariner Fan Posted June 9, 2011 #5 Posted June 9, 2011 Bob, Did he have a 1 yr warranty? That bike never moves so how did the tranny go sour? Yea, that is amazing. Sean is sick about it.
Sideoftheroad Posted June 9, 2011 #6 Posted June 9, 2011 Heck. Never know. Maybe some of the modifications he has done to the bike weren't right causing the issue. I could be wrong but isn't he very carefull when he rides and what not. In other words treating it with kids gloves. Maybe if he rode it like he stole it...

Goose In this case you might be right...but it doesn't make up for other times or prices...so maybe unfair of me this time but when you create a certain image, sometimes you have to live with it for a while...
