V7Goose Posted June 8, 2011 #2 Posted June 8, 2011 I wouldn't know - try giving us a hint of what bike you have - maybe somebody can actually respond based on their personal knowledge of that machine. Goose
w.steve wells Posted June 8, 2011 Author #3 Posted June 8, 2011 it is a 2010rsv sorry i thought it was on the page near the avatar i'll have to add that
V7Goose Posted June 8, 2011 #4 Posted June 8, 2011 2" is a lot of gap there, and it is not right. Both left and right rear pipes should have the same size gap at the top of the heat shield, and it is about the width of my finger tip. There is no piece that could be missing, and the heat shield goes all the way down to touch the other one at the Y junction, so it can't be positioned wrong. It sounds like the heat shield was just made wrong. Your bike is still new - take it back to a dealer and tell them you want it fixed under warranty. Goose
w.steve wells Posted June 8, 2011 Author #5 Posted June 8, 2011 thanks goose i'll check into that tomorrow
