Guest cyote61 Posted December 3, 2007 #8 Posted December 3, 2007 If I'm going to go for a ride I prefer it to be a minimum of 200 RT. Thats just a play moring or afternoon. My perfect travel day on extended trips is 475 miles. I run over that quite a bit, but still perfect is 475.
BoomerCPO Posted December 3, 2007 #9 Posted December 3, 2007 You are correct about the paperwork....and now they require pictures as well to prove that you have made all the ride points! I doubt if I will go for it. I enjoy my pleasure riding plus doing PGR Missions. Between those two I get more than enough miles to keep me happy.

BoomerCPO Posted December 3, 2007 #12 Posted December 3, 2007 i,m a member how do you get notifided,of the rides,or mission:confused24: Very simple. Go to the PGR Site;Register;then go to your particular State Forum and locate your State Captain. Notify him/her that you wish to be placed on the PGR E-mail Alert List. The State Captains use this Alert List to notify all members Statewide whenever a Confirmed Mission is pending and provide Staging Area Info and all Mission Itinerary. About the PGR....There are NO dues,Meetings,etc... If you can roll on any given Mission then fine. No one will berate you for not doing a Mission. We all do what we can and when we can. Ride safe and God bless.......Boomer ps: I put the extra info here just in case anyone else wants the info in order to join the PGR.

cowpuc Posted December 4, 2007 #20 Posted December 4, 2007 Personally I like to toss on the bag and tent, a change of clothes, hang a milk jug full of water and a bag of apples on the antenna, crank up Willie on the cassette, sleep on the side of the road in ditches,, behind barns, on the prairie and see the country during daylight hours - sun up till sun down.. 16 hour days with 700 miles plus in the saddle is about right... 'Puc
