Midrsv Posted December 3, 2007 #1 Posted December 3, 2007 Last summer my wife and I toured Yellowstone and Glacier National parks with several other couples. I have finally got the slide show created from the trip. It is a compilation of images from everyone's camera. If you care to see it you can download the exectutable file from my web site. It is quite large, 377 mb so you'll need a broadband connection. The file is has been zipped so it will have to be unzipped to run. Here's the link: www.traynorphoto.com/glacier.zip Enjoy... Dennis
dray Posted December 3, 2007 #2 Posted December 3, 2007 Hey Dennis it also wants a pass word to unlock it ?
Midrsv Posted December 3, 2007 Author #3 Posted December 3, 2007 Hey Dennis it also wants a pass word to unlock it ? Something isn't right. I can't download it either. Let me work on this tonight and I'll post a followup note. DT
Midrsv Posted December 3, 2007 Author #4 Posted December 3, 2007 OK, I think the link should work now. My server had a problem. Here is the link to the slideshow again: www.traynorphoto.com/glacier.zip Dennis

Midrsv Posted December 4, 2007 Author #6 Posted December 4, 2007 Hi, Great pictures. Looks like you guys had a really good time. It would be really intresting to know your route and the exact time of year. We travelled in mid July and attached is a copy of our route out of Jackson Hole. We travelled in a clockwise direction on the loop. Dennis
86er Posted December 4, 2007 #7 Posted December 4, 2007 So far the link isn't working for me. It opens a new window and then it goes away. I've even checked my desktop and it's not there either. That's a great ride though. I did it this summer as well. I looked at you route, did you do the Chief Joseph Byway between Cook City and Cody? You would have turned left after Beartooth Pass and before Cook City. That is an awesome road too! Going west to east is the greatest way to do the Going To The Sun Highway in Glacier! I got up to 35 or 40 in a left turn there and sure puckered the seat!

On my system a window opens and asks me to either open or save the file. I save it and then unzip it with winzip. You're right about "Going to the sun highway", there is a pucker factor there. Also on Beartooth highway. Dennis
86er Posted December 4, 2007 #9 Posted December 4, 2007 It finally worked. It brought up Power Desk and then it took another 15 minutes to open! (and pretty much froze up my 'puter while it did it!) But then I touched the touch-pad and it closed and I had to start all over, ARRRRRGH!!! Great pictures though, Dennis. I'm ready to go back!!! That's a trip that everyone should do at least once in their lifetime!
