Just got back from the "Ride For Life" on Vancouver Island. 12 hour day but great weather and about 800 to 1000 bikes out. Raised a lot of money for Prostate Cancer research.

There was one here last weekend but we were having "our" birthday party so couldn't attend. I say "our" because everyone in the family except my son has a birthday in the spring so we didn't really do anything up until last weekend to celebrate.

Preliminary figures are in and it looks like $110,000,00 raised for prostate cancer research in Victoria. Last year they used some of the money to pay for 300 men to get PSA tests ($ 36.00 each at private clinic). 35 of them found out they had cancer. 35 lives saved.:cool10:

That's wonderful news! As a 6 yr. breast cancer survivor, we do this sort of thing as often as we can and it does indeed do the heart good. Last fall we did a benefit ride for The Wounded Warriors organization.
