Despite 26 degree temp.....Took delivery of my RSV this morning; did my pre-ride checks of the bike; and hit the road. Put 350 miles on her today and it was a sweet ride I tell ya! I am very impressed with the handling and power of this RSV. It meets all of my expectations and then some.

Now I get to spend the next 2 months cussing our Winter weather here and doing the "wax on-wax off" routine with the bike. C'mon Spring......:rotf:

Ride safe all......Regards....Boomer

Where are pics ?? We like pics.

Now is 01 Dec...in CT. That's a lot of waxing.

But, as long as roads are dry & you don't have to park for any length of time.........

I spent my first 46 years in MI & remember the feeling.

350 miles in 26 degree weather is pretty hard core.

It's hard core indeed. Did you bundle up or did you freeze?

I rode around town today just to warm up the engine. Froze my ears off.

I cheated and wore fleece-lined jeans,a snowmobile suit, and my heavy leather jacket. I also wore a full-face helmet with face shield. I didn't get cold but I wasn't sweating either. The set-up on the bike kept most of the wind off of me and that made a big difference it seems.

I'll get the wife to take some pics of the bike and get them into my Photo Album here as soon as I can.

Got one in last night, about 40 miles all together, found a new "hidden" twisty close by to check out in the future. Went to High School basketball game, they all thought I was nuts. Heck, it was only in the low 30's! Got one in, though!

I gotta take my hat off to ya, but agree with your wife. It got down to 35 degs here yesterday and I caged it the 60 miles to the Meet'n'Eat. Plug in the windchill factor at 70mph and it's just too nippy for this OF.....:rotf:

Just for the heck of it I searched and found this wind chill chart. Brrr...

And here's a calculator that will give you wind chill effect at any combination of temp and speed.

Well I had mitigating circumstances for doing the ride.....I don't know anyone who would pick up a new bike and NOT hit the road with it as I did. The thought of just bringing the bike straight home and parking it in the garage would bring me to tears I tell ya.

Anyhoo.....the ride was sweet and nobody can erase my memory of it.:rotf:

ps: I'm an OF and proud of it.....and I never trust a fart either.
