This is the LAST shuttle launch.

Looks like an "estimated" July 8 launch date?

Causeway tickets should go on sale (lottery) shortly after Endeavour lands Wednesday.

Anyone interested in going?

Would like To pool resources as far as acquiring causeway tickets. Steve and I are both entering the lottery to double our chances to get tickets. We could increase our chances if we increased our base?

PM me if you are interested. Joe

That is unless of course, we know someone with some with pull, that could get us in another way:whistling:

Anyone intrested?

If so please visit and register at site below before reigistration closes at Sunday June 5 at 5pm.

You won't be obligated to buy anything, they will select by email after 6/5 5PM, for the oppertunity to purchase tickets.

I need two at this time for the CAUSEWAY.

I have been trying to get selected for two years now with no luck...

Thanks for the reminder. I've also always wanted to see one. Tried for tickets several times with no luck. IF I get selected I would go in a heart beat.

If you or I get selected we need to call each other and buy the appropiate amount of tickets. The date to actually prchase the tickets will be later.

So, If I get selected I need two tickets but before i buy will check to see if you got yours . If you didn't I'll get three. and mail you one. Or hand it to you in florida. we'll work it out.

If you get selected just return the favor

I believe they are $61 for the causeway viewing area

agreed?

If you guys come down here to watch the launch let me know. I live by the Space Center in Port St. John. You don't have to go to the causway to see the Shuttle take off. You can go on US 1 and get a good view. You would be about 10 miles away from it. I use to work there. The causway would be great, but if you can't get the tickets come early and pick a place on US 1. Just remember it will be crazy. Make sure that you have a full tank of gas when you go. Traffic leaving will take about 6-7 hours. I plan on going to see it from around the ACE hardware then take in a movie at the SearsTown mall, and get something to eat at the pizza place in the mall. By that time traffic should be thinned down some.

They are already talking about some problems with the Shuttle, nothing serious. Just remember that there can be delays and you should plan on it. If some of you are coming down for a couple of days, I have a spare bedroom, also those who bring their sleeping bags might want to "camp" out on my patio by the pool.

If things go"South", then we can take a ride through the country side. Or do what ever you want to do.

Might just take you up on that ken. Especially if there are delays...

The times I have gone down I just drove past the cruise ships about 1 mile and parked along the road at the bleachers. believe its about 7-8 miles from pad.

I always take:

sunscreen

collapseable chair

cooler full of drinks

lunch (sub)

Watch the launch, shoot the bull, eat lunch while everyone else is trying to leave then after about an hour get on the bike, although there is still somewhat of a line.

Hummmmmm watching a movie.... that sounds like a great idea.

Joe,

If there is a delay, we can take a ride to a "Dude" ranch on HY 68 West of Yeehaw Junction. It's about two hours from my house. The rest. sits on a canal, and there is some "old" west buildings in a town setting. (If I remember right, it's been a long time since I have been there.) That's if the Shuttle doesn't go off as planned.
