Where is 86er

Not more that 2 minutes after I made this post, I got a call from Todd. He is doing ok now but in January his 91 year old father passed away. I dont know how many people know much about Todds dad. After his annual March ride 2 years ago, the weather was really bad, so I spent the night at Todds house and he told me a little about his dad, and I was amazed to find out that his dad piloted Corsairs during WWII in the S. Pacific. Todd had told me a few stories that his dad passed down to him about his serving as a Marine fighter pilot, and he was truly an amazing and talented pilot. After leaving the Marines he became an Episcapalian priest and was living in Venice, Fla. Todd seems to be doing ok now, but I know it was pretty hard on him, he was very close to him. His father was buried in Venice, Fla. with military honors, a full Colonel even flew in from the west coast to honor him and make the Flag presentation. Todd said there was well over 400 people in attendance, a tribute to the person his dad was.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Todd's dad. He sounds like a interesting man...Glad to hear that Todds ok...(he is one funny dude)....If you talk to him again tell him we miss him around here.....
