Flyinfool Posted May 17, 2011 #1 Posted May 17, 2011 You cant get much more visible than this. But even a police bike with lights and sirens on is still not enough to be noticed by this stupid cager. http://www.todaystmj4.com/news/local/121966754.html I hope the officer heals up quick and with no lasting issues.
Reddog170 Posted May 17, 2011 #2 Posted May 17, 2011 That is nuts. Makes you wonder if people drive down the road with their eyes closed and the radio blasting. Sure hope he recovers quickly. Shaun
Sylvester Posted May 17, 2011 #3 Posted May 17, 2011 Probably, the driver was answering a text message that was OOOOHHHH SSSSOOOO important.
FuzzyRSTD Posted May 17, 2011 #4 Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) Probably, the driver was answering a text message that was OOOOHHHH SSSSOOOO important. Yep, probably . I was thinking the same thing. I work for the State Hwy myself here in Ky., and people absolutely are not aware of you when on the cell phone; I see it while flagging traffic, trying to clear the roadways of snow and ice or trees, or mowing the right aways. Some people have minds that can not talk and drive at the same time. I am not saying it is wrong to be on a portable phone, these things are life savers and awesome. But texting while driving is way wrong, and should not ever be allowed. You know if you can talk and drive at the same time. If you feel a need to get off the phone because of a situation (high volume of traffic, emergency, a child on a bicycle) , then please just hang up. I have seen so many close calls. I hope the officer recovers and I feel sorry for the car motorist too. They will have to live with this the rest of their life. Edited May 17, 2011 by FuzzyRSTD
