Stache Posted May 4, 2011 #1 Posted May 4, 2011 Breakfast - Me, the 16 yr old son, the 9 yr old son and the 9 yr old daughter. 19 yr old son is far too cool to get up for breakfast. 16 yr old looks out the window at the bright sunny morning and asks "Can you give me a ride to school on the bike this morning?" That started a chorus of 9 yr old "Me too!" Ok. 16 yr old first. 12 km round trip. Then the daughter. 8 km round trip. Then the other son. Another 8 km. Wake the 19 yr old so he'll get himself off to work on time, stow the kiddie helmet in the rack. Grab my tank bag (laptop and stuff for work) and off to the office. 18 km 1 way. Total 46 km. I'm 22 minutes late for work, but for some reason I can't stop smiling...
Marcarl Posted May 4, 2011 #3 Posted May 4, 2011 So did you need retaining then,,,, oh never mind, glad the weather was dry enough for you to get it done for your family.
Reddog170 Posted May 4, 2011 #6 Posted May 4, 2011 Hmmm So how hard was it to stop riding and go into work then? Sounds like a great morning. Shaun
friesman Posted May 4, 2011 #7 Posted May 4, 2011 Thats so great that your kids have a dad that takes the time to do the little extras for them, .....even if it makes him late for work...way to go!!! Brian

ThomWill Posted May 4, 2011 #12 Posted May 4, 2011 Awesome! My youngest (now 17) LOVES to ride and has me take her all kinds of place. My eldest will not even sit on a bike, go figure.
Art708 Posted May 5, 2011 #13 Posted May 5, 2011 I sure wish that my wife would let my 13 y/o daughter ride. She loves riding, the few times that she was allowed. She'd make a great riding companion.....sigh.
