Steve Hamm Posted April 27, 2011 #1 Posted April 27, 2011 I am looking to build a trailer hitch for my 1987 Venture Royal. Just wondering if any one has any advise or plans for one. Or even one for sale?? I have no problem building one , just not sure where to bolt it to.
Flyinfool Posted April 27, 2011 #2 Posted April 27, 2011 Here is what I made. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=52757 I used the mounts from a Markland hitch and built my own replacement for the Chrome ball mount. I found the Markland mounts on eBay for $25.
scottbly Posted May 24, 2011 #3 Posted May 24, 2011 I have this hitch from a first gen. It bolt to the exhaust pipe mounts. You would have to make a support and connect from the tabs on the hitch to some where on the frame. My other hitch connected just inside the fender. I have also seen them clamped to the saddle bag support bar. You can have this one for $25 plus shipping. Needs clean up and paint. I also have one much nicer listed on ebay with a tour package (?).
Yamamike Posted November 12, 2011 #4 Posted November 12, 2011 Will this fit MK1 & 2? I have a 83 and I'm having a hard time visualizing where it attaches to the bike.
