E-4 code on air shock control

Father in-laws '89 Venture Royale is still throwing an E-4 code. I took the control box to the local TV repairman, he repaired several broken solder joints and went over all the conections. Any other idea's of why she is still throwing E-4, I am a Harley guy myself, all these electronics are hurting my brain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't even know that you could SAY Harley Guy and Brain in the same sentence.

 

JUST KIDDING...I have owned Harley's and we like all brands here...gotta razz you a bit though.

 

To be honest, I would sincerely suspect that the electronics guy missed a cold solder. You can't always see them. The normal way to do it is to hit all the pins with the soldering iron to be sure. Several folks have done it a couple of times before the issue was resolved.

The controller on the '91 took me 3 solderings before the E4 finally disappeared.
