I bought my 2004 midnight RSV fall of last year. It's a well maintained stock bike just as it left the factory. I knew it would need accessories, but I got a great deal so that didn’t bother me. I found in a thread on this site that someone referred to MotorSportsSuperCenter.com. So I tried it and what a great deal. I received 26% off my order and was able to combine shipping. The retail of my order was $567.65 and I saved $147.61 WOW. I wish I could thank the person that left this tip but I can’t remember the thread I found it in. Also on their web site, you could go to checkout and see the shipping cost without entering any payment info. The only down side was they wanted the entire order at their building to ship in one box, which is why they could offer a combined shipping rate. It took 11 days after the order was placed for UPS to drop it off at my house. Not a big deal for the cash I saved. I was fortunate to find this, so I hope someone looking for parts/accessories reads this and saves some cash. The accessories I order were all genuine Yamaha. Now I have plenty of "Safety Chrome".

The only other thing I want is a wider windshield with a vent. Then bring on the sunshine a warm days.

Clearview shields! Look in the Vendor's forum, buy a blem and also get a venturerider discount! My wide and tall with a vent ran less than $200...

Thanks for the reply bongobobny, Clearview is one of the companies I am considering. I am short at 5’6” and having a hard time deciding what height shield to get. If my wife didn’t ride with me I would get one I could see over, but she would not like it I’m sure. I may try the Clearview medium, I would still have to look thru it but if it’s as clear as everyone says it may not be a big deal. My goldwing windshield was extremely tall and I never liked it especially during rain.

I just did a 6000 mile ride with mine and it is a great windshield. I got behind a truck that was throughing gravel. He hit the bike and me and I though sure the windshield had to have some nicks. Nothing, it held up great. While your there pick up some of their windshield polish. It works great and is much less expensive than some of the others. Spray it on, wait a few seconds and the bugs just desolve.

I didn't get it but they do have one with a vent.
