whozleft Posted November 26, 2007 #3 Posted November 26, 2007 The town just East of me (Newark) has used several old bridges like this along the bike paths they have built on old railroad right of ways. They have one going over a creek on the Newark brach of Ohio State University and another one the crosses a river on another part of the bike path. There's a local foundation that bought the bridges and had them restored to a point where they are safe for pedestrian and bike traffic. I always thought it was a great idea to re-use these kinds of things. One of the bridges they used is actually one of the last ones of the type in existance here in Ohio. It's a neat idea.
