OK, so its a Chrysler Sebring Touring convertable........

I picked it up on Friday and man, the car is great. The previous owner bought it new and added almost all the toys available for it. Color is Satin Jade Pearl with a black cloth top and tan leather and suede heated seats!! 200 HP V-6

I just joined a Sebring club, www.sebringclub.net , and guess what..they refer to the Sebring Convertables as 1st gens, 2nd gens and now, 3rd gens.

Weird, huh? Cant believe the coincidence.

1996-2000: 1st gens

2001-2007: 2nd gens

2008: 3rd gens

Picked up a 96 "1st gen" for my daughter (the princess), she loves it and so do I. Good gas mileage (going to college), looks good, kind of a purple/silver paint job. Doesn't have all the gagdets, but power windows, AC, door locks and basic extras. Have fun with yours!

Very nice car. Love the color. I'm not really partial to any automobile brand and have had pretty good luck with most all of them. My company car is a 2003 Dodge Caravan. It has right at 110,000 miles on it and I will be getting a new one within the next couple of months. I have to say that it has done very well. Until this week, it hasn't required anything but regular oil changes and one set of brake pads and one set of tires. This week I put in in the shop and got new tires, brakes all the way around and they found the left rear wheel cylinder leaking and the right anti-sway bar bracket broken and replace it. Also got the scheduled oil change. The bill came to 1,032.00 but with 110,000 miles, I didn't think that was too bad. Besides, the company pays for it. :)

They will be replacing it with a 2008 Dodge Caravan. I have a shorty now but Chrysler has dropped the shorties so the new one will be the Grand Caravan. Hope it does as good as the '03 has.

Contrary to Venturerider's beliefs... Venturriders did not "invent" the Generation monniker... I own a 4th Generation El Camino and it's a '85

Nice ride....I bought a 1991 mint condition Chrysler Lebaron convertible (turbo) in 2000 for my daughter. It wasn't very long before I realized it was way too much car for her and replaced it with an import. New paint, rag top and upholstery....rebuilt the tranny and it's still a gem. I'm pushing 260,000 miles on the engine and as my wife puts it, driving it is the next best thing to riding a Venture....
