djh3 Posted April 27, 2012 #26 Posted April 27, 2012 So far mine seems OK. I tried to read up on this switch requirement on the Gen 2. Never saw anything. I guess maybe the later stuff dont need it.

It may not be a problem now, but as your battery wears down (as well as the charging system) you could find yourself with the headlight off after starting the bike and then you would have to restart the bike to (hopefully) get the light back on. Hey Jeff, nice elegant solution. I'll have to look into it when I get around to being able to afford an HID headlight. Thanks for the info guys. Andy
djh3 Posted April 27, 2012 #28 Posted April 27, 2012 I had a switch installed for my modulator that now the HID is installed is removed. I like the idea of a more or less automatic type deal. Man I hate to think about opeingin up the fairing again and cutting into the harness.
Flyinfool Posted April 28, 2012 #29 Posted April 28, 2012 My option 2 requires NO cutting into the wire harness. Option 1 requires tapping 1 existing wire.
