SilvrT Posted April 19, 2011 Share #2 Posted April 19, 2011 We were at $1.30 something (maybe 32 or 34 I forgot) last weekend here in Vancouver yet when we rode up the valley... maybe 100 kms, gas was $1.19/Litre ... I just don't understand how there can be such a difference .... somehow the term "gouging" comes to mind.

That is why I filled up in Chilliwack, on my way through 3 weeks ago. The BC gas tax had included a portion for BC Ferries & this is before HST was added into the mix. So there is taxes on top of taxes, but nothing new there.....

RandyR Posted April 19, 2011 Share #5 Posted April 19, 2011 Saudi Arabia just lowered production. AFter all, how much oil can their camels drink ?
Flyinfool Posted April 19, 2011 Share #6 Posted April 19, 2011 Of course they lowered production. A surplus was starting to develop and the price started to come down......
jfoster Posted April 19, 2011 Share #7 Posted April 19, 2011 I guess folks in La have deep pockets. The last time gas prices got high we saw no difference in speeding violations. Either they (the motorist) don't care or don't see a correlation between speed and fuel mileage. As they say common sense isn't common any more. 1 Canuck Posted April 19, 2011 Share #8 Posted April 19, 2011 Gas Just went up here in Northern Ontario It's $1.40 a litre =$6.36 a Gallon If we could remove our Ontario government imposed HST, it would only be $1.27 per litre. But I also heard it's heading up to $1.50 by summer. Hopefully just a bad rumor?

Evan Posted April 20, 2011 Share #10 Posted April 20, 2011 Gas Just went up here in Northern Ontario It's $1.40 a litre =$6.36 a Gallon Hey Charlie - Since your gas prices are almost always 5 to 10 cents above ours here in sunny southern Ontario (at least in Toronto), your still getting a deal cause our prices are not much less right now - and going up some more tonight!
