Carbon_One Posted April 17, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 17, 2011 Just when we thought winter was done for the year we are now getting/going to get 2-4" of that crap once again before noon tomorrow. I know some folks have had way more snow then us here in southern Michigan but really enough is enough I say. Larry

bj66 Posted April 18, 2011 Share #10 Posted April 18, 2011 After 8 inches of white crap last friday, it has been snowing all day. The newspaper said that Aberdeen South Dakota has officially hit the 3rd largest amount of snowfall in history. Somewhere in the 80 inch area. Normal for us is in the 30 inch range. Needless to say Sometime here in the next week, my wife and kids will have to go stay at my folks's place. That way they can get to work/school without driving flooded highways. The kids go to school 10 miles away and the roads are gonna get alot worse before they get better. Cmon summer, cant get here quick enough!!!!!!!! SilvrT Posted April 18, 2011 Share #12 Posted April 18, 2011 Well, although the temps around here have been appx 4 degrees celcius lower than normal, at least yesterday and today the rain gave way to sunshine and clouds so we did get out for a ride both days!! Nina got a new heated vest. I tried it yesterday and she had it today. Sure makes all the difference!!!
dalv Posted April 18, 2011 Share #13 Posted April 18, 2011 I share your misery. Here in upstate NY we finally got rid of the white stuff but other than a couple days (when at work, of course) wind, rain, cold temps continue. Since Oct last year, the weather has really been lousy - can only hope when it does break we get rewarded with a nice summer. Planning a trip down to Ga via the BlueRidge in late June... I did get out for a few miles this afternoon when the sun broke out - still chilly but dry roads (raining now). Gotta take it when it comes! Needless to say, griping about it won't help and certainly not as bad as the folks in NC - our thoughts and prayers are with them. Hang in there...better days are coming! V7Goose Posted April 18, 2011 Share #19 Posted April 18, 2011 Ain't no danged winter here - 90 degrees today and wild fires burning everywhere! winds seem to blow a good 5 lbs of dirt, leaf pieces and sand into the pool every day! Trying my best not to turn on the AC for another month or so, but these fans are having a hard time keeping up with the 90+ temps. Goose

Flyinfool Posted April 19, 2011 Share #21 Posted April 19, 2011 There is snow in the horrorcast for the next 3 days. I know, I know, it's all MY fault. Over the weekend I got my bike all back together and ready to ride, then I packed away all of the snow shovels for the summer, then I even put away the snow brush and ice scrapers from the truck.
