Suggested Retail: $92.95 The Original Progressive Rate Fork Springs soak up the small road bumps, yet are firm enough to absorb the molar-rattling ones. Spring rates have been chosen to reduce front end "dive" during braking, yet still provide excellent ride comfort. Better yet, we warranty our fork springs for life! Progressive Rate Fork Springs have several advantages over straight rate springs. A straight rate spring only offers linear resistance to compression and is a compromise. For example, if you have a 20lb straight rate spring, it will take 20lbs of force to compress the spring one inch. It will take 20 more lbs of force to compress it the next inch, and so on, until the end of the travel. A Progressive Rate Spring has the advantage of a rising rate resistance to compression. twigg Posted April 16, 2011 Share #2 Posted April 16, 2011 Seems to be the correct part #, and the price is decent ... but fairly typical. What's the concern?
GolfVenture Posted April 17, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted April 17, 2011 Well somethings one buys on ebay may sound good but are not and so I was hoping to receive opinions from others who may have purchased them or if there are better places to buy them. twigg Posted April 17, 2011 Share #4 Posted April 17, 2011 All you can really do is look at the Seller's Feedback. If it's good you are unlikely to be ripped off. Most eBay problems stem from poor descriptions and poor buying choices .... high shipping costs are a no-no for me. I would think that if an eBay trader is selling Progressive springs, then Progressive spring are what you probably will get. Paypal offers pretty good protection.
