A beautiful afternoon, uncovered my VR all set to ride it to work ..........and what do I get but a dead cylinder. So now I get to work on my bike instead of riding it.:bang head:

If only 1 bad cylinder, I may have taken it out for a run anyway to see if it shook loose after a few minutes/hours and a liberal dose of seafoam.

Tried that one right off......first took the air cleaner off to see if it moved when I cracked the throttle, which it did not. Then reached down with a long screw driver to see if it moved freely which it did. than poured seafoam directly down the carbs cranked the engine a bit and let it sit for 1/2 hour. After that I took it for a short run and smoked out the whole neighbour hood. Finally decided I best take the truck to work.

I have found that when your bike won't start that it's usually your guardian angel looking out for you :backinmyday:

My wifes bike would not start one day when friends came to get her for a ride. Later one of the other riders was rear ended at a traffic light, probably woulda been my wife if her scoot would have started.
