Grisolm1 Posted April 12, 2011 #1 Posted April 12, 2011 03 RSV 16K miles in my favorite color. Need a larger garage now. Love the sound of the RK pipes and the mechanical harmony. Feels and Sounds like driving a 70 Chevelle SS454. It doesn't accelerate like the MkII but the wife likes the ride much better and the more relaxed feel doesn't encourage me to do as many banzai runs. Will keep me in better standing with LEO.
TearlessTom Posted April 12, 2011 #2 Posted April 12, 2011 Okay , need to show my ignorance again. I see it all the time but what is a MkII?
GolfVenture Posted April 12, 2011 #3 Posted April 12, 2011 MKI is a 1st Gen Venture years 83 to 85. MKII is 1st Gen Venture from 86 to 93. Not sure what the MK stands for maybe MakeI and MakeII. Just a guess.
LilBeaver Posted April 12, 2011 #4 Posted April 12, 2011 Nice. I think that is one of the color combos that I have not seen in person. Looks like you've got all sorts of goodies on there!
gibvel Posted April 12, 2011 #5 Posted April 12, 2011 MK= Mark. Venture Royale Mark I... Mark II Nice ride Wally!! Enjoy. I've seen that color combo in person and I like it very much. That would be one of my top 3 colors if I find one in good shape, low miles, no chirp for the right price.
TDunc Posted April 12, 2011 #7 Posted April 12, 2011 NICE! I,ve been looking for an 03 because of the color. So far, everybody likes theirs just a little more than I do. $$$$$$
Jus Monkeyin Around Posted April 12, 2011 #8 Posted April 12, 2011 Nice bike. I like that color combo
bongobobny Posted April 12, 2011 #10 Posted April 12, 2011 Yah! Rasberry and Cream is one of the nicest combinations they made fer sure! I definately agree abvout the acceleration. Looks like it has a lot of aftermarket on it, especially in the passenger comfort area! For 2 up touring that is the bike to take. Keep the 1st gen for solo riding...
RandyR Posted April 12, 2011 #11 Posted April 12, 2011 nice catch. and nice stable you have. I set out to buy a Motoguzzi a while back and then ultimately bought my first Royal Star.
TearlessTom Posted April 12, 2011 #12 Posted April 12, 2011 Thanks for all the info, by the way I REALLY like that bike!
elmicko Posted April 12, 2011 #13 Posted April 12, 2011 Very nice bike and I do like those colors. BTW my bike started out that color before the PO had it flamed. I'm really liking my RK pipes too. You did well.
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted April 12, 2011 #14 Posted April 12, 2011 NICE! I,ve been looking for an 03 because of the color. So far, everybody likes theirs just a little more than I do. $$$$$$ Redrider has a 2003 in our classifides... assuming this is not it.... it is a very nice color combo..... just the wrong side of the map for me to think about it. Very nice.... emjoy!
Yammer Dan Posted April 12, 2011 #15 Posted April 12, 2011 NICE RIDE!! Does that mean if you get a 2nd Gen you lose the urge to twist that right hand?? Somebody better talk to Skid.. I knew something wasn't normal about him!!! :rotfl:
zooer Posted April 12, 2011 #16 Posted April 12, 2011 Always loved that color combo. Good choice, nice ride.
BuckShot Posted April 13, 2011 #17 Posted April 13, 2011 Congrat's on the new ride. Hope you have many happy miles with it.
Grisolm1 Posted April 13, 2011 Author #18 Posted April 13, 2011 Not that you loose the urge to twist the wick, just a sweet cruise when not hunting for the redline so no need to to get the required stress relief. Things you can't see in the pics. Dyna3000 barons tach and basically 90% of the star accessories catalog. No chirping, (I test drove a 2005 that was horrible) got lucky on this one.
Grisolm1 Posted April 13, 2011 Author #19 Posted April 13, 2011 Redrider has a 2003 in our classifides... assuming this is not it.... it is a very nice color combo..... just the wrong side of the map for me to think about it. Very nice.... emjoy! Not red riders so his should still be avail.
