While attepmting to remove the headlight bulb tonight, the socket (where the bulb plugs into the wireing) broke. I am guessing this socket, fixture, plug, or whatchamacallit, is part of the wiring harness. Is there anything a person could use to replace this? Other than a new harness?

I think that I will get this fixed and then hire someone to do things for me. Fix one thing and another breaks.

:confused::confused::confused24::confused24:

Might give up completely, go into debt, and buy a Can-Am Spder. At least then it would be warranty work.

Thanks,

Dave

If you can't find a socket at an auto parts store, I should have one lying around you can have. You'll need to solder it into harness of course.

Finding it is the question.

they do sale the soket at local auto parts stores/ I had to replace the ones on my wifes shadow. It was a simple switch. Just figure out which wire goes where and splice in with butt joints and then heat shrink for protection. Not sur eof parts number but the local stealor here has a replacement socket that is made out of ceramics that they sale along with a brighter bulb.

Good luck

Yeah, just cut it off the harness (leave about an inch of wire on the plug) and take it to the auto parts store. They'll have one.

Use the old plug as your guide to which wire connects where (that's why you leave an inch of wire on it)
