OB-1 Posted April 9, 2011 #1 Posted April 9, 2011 Is there a device that will perform a blue tooth interface between a blue tooth enabled cell phone and the stock intercom on 2nd Gen RSV?
Venturer Posted April 14, 2011 #2 Posted April 14, 2011 Is there a device that will perform a blue tooth interface between a blue tooth enabled cell phone and the stock intercom on 2nd Gen RSV? Check J&M Corp. See email string below, starting at bottom: Dongle05 is around $300 I believe ,,,, harness for the Venture probably around $240 ,,,, J&M Bluetooth headsets are $300 each for the standard models ,,,,,, Passenger can use wired headsets but this may cause some noise and delay over the intercom when they do ,,,,,, John Lazzeroni J&MR Corporation 1415 South Cherry Avenue Tucson AZ 85713 800-358-0881 Audio@Jmcorp.com http://www.Jmcorp.com http://www.facebook.com/pages/JM-Corporation/101134489945663?ref=ts http://www.youtube.com/user/JMcorpMotorcyclAudio?feature=mhum -----Original Message----- From: Trevor Storey [mailto:trevor.storey@rogers.com] Sent: Sunday, January 23, 2011 8:50 AM To: audio@jmcorp.com Subject: Re: bluetooth inquiry Thanks John, Any idea on pricing? Would the passenger still be able to hook into the wired bike system for the intercom / radio / cb or would they need bluetooth headsets as well? Just wondering seeing as my son does not ride with us that often. Thanks! Wondering if the bluetooth system you have for the Goldwing would work on our bikes so we can integrate our blackberries, CB and stereo systems....take calls while riding and listening to music, etc. Would you still use your PTT button on the stock motorcycle equipment to talk on CB? Thanks
Condor Posted April 14, 2011 #3 Posted April 14, 2011 Is there a device that will perform a blue tooth interface between a blue tooth enabled cell phone and the stock intercom on 2nd Gen RSV? Not really, but I have bluetooth set up between my cell phone and my GPS. Then GPS to Aux plug, and a Buddy Rich vox cord mod so I can talk to the caller with my hardwire audio connection. I can now listen to directions, play the MP3/GPS music, and answer the phone....
Hulign Posted April 14, 2011 #4 Posted April 14, 2011 I have a bluetooth dongle that I paid less than 20 for so that I can play music off the phone. I want to get a BuddyRich cable and build a mic break out cable for my phone. Those 3 combined should allow me to answer the phone for less than 80.00

I have the same setup. I LOVE my Buddy Rich cable.
Hulign Posted April 21, 2011 #8 Posted April 21, 2011 Anyone have a picture of the BuddyRich cable? I am wondering how long it is? From what I understand it can be plugged in line between the headset if I wanted to switch it from passenger to driver? I read the install posts but no real overview of the cord. Does it seem like it would stand up to the weather? Thanks Frank

BuddyRich Posted April 21, 2011 #10 Posted April 21, 2011 That white cable starts out at 6' also. I cut it down since the mic cable is 6'. Let me know if you need a custom and I will cut them to the size you need. That mic lead is a 2.5mm. Just let me know if your unit needs a 3.5 or a 2.5mm. All the Garmins use a 2.5mm. Jack, You ain't installed it yet? I ain't coming back....
Condor Posted April 21, 2011 #11 Posted April 21, 2011 Jack, You ain't installed it yet? I ain't coming back.... That's not what I heard.... If you take a quick a look at my 'to-do' box pile you'd understand... Rain.. funky knees... no room in the garage....love affair with my Lazy-Boy... all have something to do with how full it is...
Hulign Posted April 22, 2011 #12 Posted April 22, 2011 So is that black cable cast in? or can it be replaced? Thanks for the pic! Makes it easier to explain to the accountant.. :-) Frank

Hulign Posted April 23, 2011 #15 Posted April 23, 2011 I haven't actually picked out a gps yet. So I will have to figure out what it has. Good to know you can do a custom cable. Thanks Frank
