Black Owl Posted April 9, 2011 #1 Posted April 9, 2011 (edited) Boy, no matter how good a friend someone may be, it turns out you just can't trust them. After the Pork in the Pines last year, I left my Virago with Gary (Whoomp). You know, the one that I went to all the trouble to customize the tank up on the Ber Tooth during the Cody Round Up. Well, just look at what he is trying to hand back to me. I mean, does that look anything at all like the scoot I left with him And no peanut gallery comments from you Rocket about seeing it for the first time off the trailer.... friesman Posted April 9, 2011 #2 Posted April 9, 2011 looks like someone has done a switch on ya........ looks great!!!! Brian
Squidley Posted April 9, 2011 #3 Posted April 9, 2011 Now Owl, lets be fair here, did you give Gary creative control with it? The eyes of an Artist can vary wildly, and before you know it you have a Mona Lisa....I kinda like it myself for Blue.
Freebird Posted April 9, 2011 #4 Posted April 9, 2011 Very nice you old hoot owl. I think you may be owing him a steak dinner.

Black Owl Posted April 9, 2011 Author #8 Posted April 9, 2011 Where did he mount the gyro-stabilizer?? Just keep . Not only did he remove my dent. But he also cleaned and sealed the tank. Replaced the fork seals. Installed an new in line fuel filter. Then, and would you believe the nerve of this guy, he goes and removes the rust and polishes it. Some peoples children. Next thing you know, he is probably going to clean all the leather.... Some folks just don't appreciate a good Rat Bike. Hell, he'll probably expect me to even ride it this year out in Cody.
Rocket Posted April 9, 2011 #9 Posted April 9, 2011 Hell, he'll probably expect me to even ride it this year out in Cody. I don't see any training wheels on it, to keep it upright. So I guess he doesn't expect you, to try & ride it, at all (after all that effort, fixing it up).....
Squidley Posted April 9, 2011 #10 Posted April 9, 2011 Hell, he'll probably expect me to even ride it this year out in Cody. Now how would you be able to do that and drive the truck and trailer. Oh wait I get it, you'll be on the bike which will be on the trailer and someone else will be driving the truck....sorry my bad!
Reddog170 Posted April 9, 2011 #11 Posted April 9, 2011 So after years of custom crash dents and collecting rust it looks almost new again. Now you have to use it for another twenty years. Nice looking scoot there. Shaun
Zane Posted April 9, 2011 #12 Posted April 9, 2011 That was really nice of him to give ya that oil stain on the floor too!:rotf:

Brad, I nailed Russ with that comment at PIP last year & got a high five, from Mikealiasmike for it...... You probably had seen, the blind guy riding a Harly (while being towed on a trailer, by the wife) commercial, of a couple of years ago.
Black Owl Posted April 9, 2011 Author #14 Posted April 9, 2011 That was really nice of him to give ya that oil stain on the floor too!:rotf: Hey, it cost extra to imitate a HD don'tcha know...

bryan52577 Posted April 9, 2011 #17 Posted April 9, 2011 Russell, So that really was a "REAL" bike on the trailer? Well "HOO" knew? I was going to ask how he got it "un-bolted" from the trailer. Bryan
