SapperMedic Posted April 7, 2011 #1 Posted April 7, 2011 OK, I was riding to work today, and I noticed what looked like an RSTD at the light waiting to cross in front of me. As he went by, it looked like he had a billett cover between his cylinders kinda like the Roadstar has for the air cleaner. I may have been mistaken but since he had a 2 in 1 exhaust on the one side and I thought I saw another from the back that would indicate 4 cylinders. It looked awsome and covered up the dead space taken up by carbs inside. Any ideas or am I looking at a Roadstar. Nothing in the yamaha catalog on it
SapperMedic Posted April 7, 2011 Author #2 Posted April 7, 2011 Also has anyone put this type of trunk/saddlebag combo on their RoyalStar?

SapperMedic Posted April 7, 2011 Author #4 Posted April 7, 2011 I tried to find it at kuryakyn, but nothing. Maybe Parts Unlimited
Condor Posted April 7, 2011 #6 Posted April 7, 2011 I tried to find it at kuryakyn, but nothing. Maybe Parts Unlimited The covers are a Star Accessory that has been discontinued. A lot of the accessories are going that way... I'm not sure, but I think a lot of that stuff was designed and made by Yamaha USA. Another sign that the RSV will be sailing off into the sunset.... I have seen them listed on Ebay but they are rare.
SapperMedic Posted April 7, 2011 Author #7 Posted April 7, 2011 I found a set on E-Bay that they wanted $161.00, but they have to be made of Gold, Safety Chrome is one thing, but that's close to extortion. Luckily a fellow member put me in touch with a set for under $70. (thanks Ibent)
bongobobny Posted April 8, 2011 #8 Posted April 8, 2011 Yah! Gunkylump scored one of the last ones available at a dealer last month and it cost $141 shipped. Those breather covers are nice and heavy but I'm thinking mine has a black motor and breather so the chrome breather covers may not look as nice on mine...
