SilvrT Posted April 6, 2011 #2 Posted April 6, 2011 Would this be OK to sync the carbs? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300529194899&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT Thanks, Melvin Appears to me it will work ... I have the Morgan Carbtune. http://www.carbtune.co.uk/carbdtls.html
Yammer Dan Posted April 6, 2011 #3 Posted April 6, 2011 It would work but i would go ahead and splurge for the Carb-Tune. Just the ease of handling it and moving it around. I have a old Motion-Pro with the mecury. It is a pain to transport but works great.
jemorrisonjr Posted April 6, 2011 #4 Posted April 6, 2011 I just used my Carbtune on my bike, took al of about 10 min..... BUY IT!!! it will pay for itself in no time.....
Seaking Posted April 6, 2011 #5 Posted April 6, 2011 I put my CarbTune on the top shelf and now using a 4 dial unit that seems to me easier to set up and actually use.. but that's just me.. I found the carb tune not as accurate.. Its a personal choice, either of them will do the job.
KiteSquid Posted April 7, 2011 #6 Posted April 7, 2011 (edited) I will work fine, but I prefer the $66 mercury manometers sold HERE or for $11 more you also get an adjusting tool that works great on four cylinder goldwings and screwdriver might work on the venture HERE NEVER will it go out of calibration and it is extremely accurate, but there is mercury in it............. so keep it away from kids and don't try to transport it with the mercury in it. the only way it will go out of calibration is if the earths gravity changes or a large portion of the atmosphere goes away and tuning carbs will be the least of our worries..... fwbpastor Posted April 11, 2011 Author #7 Posted April 11, 2011 Decided to spend a little more and ordered the Morgan Carb Tune. Should get it in a couple of weeks. Thanks for all the help.
