Sancyusa Posted April 2, 2011 #1 Posted April 2, 2011 Looking for someone to give me some insight as to why there is a Dynojet Power Commander for Roadliners up to 2008 and then a different one for 09 and 10 model years. I would really like to know if the one listed for models through 08 would work on my 09. I bought one without knowing there was a difference.
Squeeze Posted April 2, 2011 #2 Posted April 2, 2011 Dyna list the PC III USB for the older Generation and the PC 5 (also PCV abbrevated) for teh '09 and '10. There's tremendous Difference between the two Units. The PCV has much more Options than the PCIII and the Unit itself is smaller too. I'd venture the Guess a PCIII could be made to work also on your newer Bike, but it will most likely take a custom Wiring Job. Not what i would do. Take the PCIII back where you bought it from and look for a fitting PCV. It's almost Plug'n'Play connection. I'd consider doing the digital Ground Mod while you're fitting it. Will give you a much better TPS Sgnal Reading.
