I've never seen one. My local Yami dealer hasn't had a Venture in stock since 2010. They did have had a few TD's a while back, and they don't last long. I think the 2011 RSV is going to be the same as the 1994VR. Rarer than chicken lips, and falls into the 'Myths and Ledgens' catagory....

There's about 6 of them at dealers on Cycletrader.com ranging in price from $17,6xx and upwards to $22,000

I read a post about a member taking one for a ride, but I got the impression he worked for that dealer.

Interesting. Out of curiousity I did the Cycletrader search and it came up with nothing.... The Myth lingers on.... :whistling:

Well, if you clicked the link that I included, you will see a few of them. I didn't use "touring", just Yamaha, Royal Star Venture, any distance.

Local dealer here has 2 on order and expects them in mid to late April.

He also has some GW's on order but there could be problem getting them, they recieved a letter stating the suppliers are not back up in swing, and this could delay shippment but Yammy was not having any problems as of Friday..

Reason I know this I'm looking at a GW

Around here, 2010 was a terrible year for the dealers. I bought my venture last April and it's an '09. The dealer still had 3 in boxes and he knocked a couple of grand off the $20K price tag for being the previous years model. I actually went to the dealer with the intent to buy the Stratoliner Deluxe, but he had none in stock and said Yamaha wouldn't send him any '10's until the '09 stock was cleared. Lucky for me, there was another Venture that had been sold sitting on the floor and I fell in love with it and changed my mind on what i wanted to buy :)

A couple of days ago I went down to the local Honda dealer for some oil and his showroom floor was over 50% pre-owned bikes. I think they are hoping for a good year here, but last year it seems a lot of people sold their bikes, while some traded up.

The link I posted didn't use touring either. Actually the first time I did and the second time I removed it to make sure that wasn't the problem. The big difference between your search and mine is you used 1300 S and I used the basic 1300. I guess there are quite a few 'S's out there, but when it comes to the regular RSV the landscape looks pretty barren. Yamaha still lists both models so I have to assume that the 1300S is 'chromier'... :)

I think the S is the only model for 2011. More chrome ....

I just searched for 2011 Venture.

The lowest price hit was in Ohio.

my dealings with cycletrader when i was looking for a 2010 is that some dealers post that they have one but when you get them toactualy selling you the unit they advertize they back pedel and say they are on order and will be in soon. thats why i ask here for a member to find one and Mimi and muffinmn came thru for me their dealer is a great place to buy one if they get one in Anderson brothers yamaha steve

Yamaha still lists the 1300 and the 1300S. Maybe the 1300 is a myth... :big-grin-emoticon:

So far I have not come across anyone who has a 2011. But you can make a heck of a good deal on a 2010 and you cannot find one item of difference except maybe, possibly, kind of, sort a difference in the logo on the tank-------------maybe, not sure.

There hasn't been a non-S since 2009 (USA). On the USA Star web pages if you click Royal Star Venture you get the 2009 model.

I like the 2011 two tone blue, which was offered as the non-S color scheme in Canada for 2010.

That said, I'm quite happy with the 2000 Millenium I bought with only 16,000 miles on it last year. So I'm just trying to entice someone to buy a 2011 so I can look at it at Freebird's MD.

When I did my search, I didn't use S. I simply used Yamaha then selected Royal Star Venture from the list.

OK, I see what's going on here. Even thouigh Y has the 1300 listed on their 2011 website, if you look at the top of the page it's actually of a 2009 model and color. The blue 'S' is the only option for a 2011. That said I still have never seen one, and all the pictures are photo shopped. It's still a myth..... :whistling:
