Reddog170 Posted March 28, 2011 #1 Posted March 28, 2011 I had found some parts I needed for my bike on ebay. I made the seller an offer and he accepted my offer. I was waiting for the invoice so I could get him paid and instead he said that someone had "just" offered him more money. Now I do not get my parts and he just sayd it is business. So if you have to deal with ebayer onestopoutlet beware. Shaun
Flyinfool Posted March 28, 2011 #2 Posted March 28, 2011 I would report that to Ebay. That is very much against their policies. Especially since it means that ebay does not get their money for the sale. They do not like that. You can also give him bad feedback explaining what he did. I am sure that he would have reported you had you decided to not pay for the item. Unless of course he did put in the add that the auction is subject to end early for a local sale.
Hulign Posted March 28, 2011 #3 Posted March 28, 2011 Crap like this is why I hate Ebay anymore. I would rather give away an item. By the time you take the hit on fees it's not worth selling on there. And buying gets you treatment like you just had. Good luck sourcing your parts Frank
Condor Posted March 28, 2011 #4 Posted March 28, 2011 If the stuff was just listed in his Ebay store, then your outa luck. However if the stuff was listed ebay 'best offer' and he accepted your offer, than you have a case and report him.
bongobobny Posted March 28, 2011 #5 Posted March 28, 2011 Hmmmmm, I have bought from that dealer before and had no problems, but my dealings were not a "make offer" deal, just plain auction. Overall I was happy with them, but thanks for that info, I wil be warry of him in the future...
Reddog170 Posted March 28, 2011 Author #6 Posted March 28, 2011 Well I cannot do anything as it was an item in his store. The odd part, it is now on auction and not listed as sold. Starting to think he just wanted more money. Well I called his bluff and now he looses. I put a max bid of 50% of what I offered. Shaun

Snipe it toward the end. You might get it for even less than 50%

Although I think I would have just moved on all together... I suppose that might depend on what the part actually is and how hard they are to find. I always hate reinforcing poor business practices, bad customer service and dishonest salespeople...
bongobobny Posted March 28, 2011 #9 Posted March 28, 2011 What part are you looking for?? One of us may have what you need...
Reddog170 Posted March 28, 2011 Author #11 Posted March 28, 2011 yes it is a set of carbs that I need the other carbs I got were junk
Blackjack Posted March 29, 2011 #12 Posted March 29, 2011 I'm terribly sorry to hear of the problem you've had, and hope it can be resolved. I have had several flawless purchase transactions with this Seller, who is a Top-Rated Seller. TERRY
Reddog170 Posted March 29, 2011 Author #13 Posted March 29, 2011 He will not respond. He also has ended the auction. I will not bid on his stuff or use a buy it now from him, ever. He burned me and will not even try to make it right. To me that is unethical and cold.
stuckonstupid Posted March 29, 2011 #14 Posted March 29, 2011 Great...I just ordered a set of calipers from him. I don't feel like getting screwed, so I'll keep an eye on him...Thanks for the heads up.
