AD5ME Posted March 28, 2011 #1 Posted March 28, 2011 Folks, Sorry for all the questions... Will the service manual for the RSV work for the 2005 RSTD as well?? I have done a ton of Google searches for one and I must not be doing it right. Haven't found one yet.... Thanks Robert

RandyR Posted March 28, 2011 #3 Posted March 28, 2011 yes, as long as you understand the differences. same engine, brakes, frame and drivetrain. the wiring harness is somewhat different as are the switches and headlight & fairing/windshield & electronics & trunk. But 98% of maintenance items are the same. The RSV online maint guide that a member has made available works, as does the Clymer manual.

Dave77459 Posted March 28, 2011 #6 Posted March 28, 2011 The RSV manual generally works, but there is an 87 page RSTD supplement. It covers the differences between the RSTD and RSV (headlamp, windscreen, seats, wiring). Then you use the RSV manual for everything else. I bought mine on eBay as a PDF, that I downloaded and then printed.
