Black Owl Posted March 23, 2011 #1 Posted March 23, 2011 A lot of discussion on MC tyres gets entered on the site. Not intended to open more debate on which is best. Just wanted to post this for those interested in getting more information on MC tires. http://www.conti-online.com/generator/www/de/en/continental/motorcycle/themes/download/technical_manual_uv.pdf
Bubber Posted March 23, 2011 #2 Posted March 23, 2011 A lot of discussion on MC tyres _uv.pdf Your not in Canada anymore, or is it "It's not just for Canadians any more" ????? :rotf:
Black Owl Posted March 23, 2011 Author #3 Posted March 23, 2011 Your not in Canada anymore, or is it "It's not just for Canadians any more" ????? :rotf: I whichever theatre you play it, it's simply a labour of love.... Of course it would be much easier if yah'all learned how to spell... BTW: You ready for Cody? or are we going to have to wait for you (as usual)?
friesman Posted March 23, 2011 #4 Posted March 23, 2011 Your not in Canada anymore, or is it "It's not just for Canadians any more" ????? :rotf: Us Canucks spell it tires like you'all, I think its the Brits that spell it tyres..... and possbly Aussies... Brian
LilBeaver Posted March 23, 2011 #5 Posted March 23, 2011 I think you Minnesoooooooooooooooooooooooooooootans are just too close to canadia and some of the 'weird' stuff rubs off on you. I know the U.P. had some interesting canadian rub off shenanigans... Ya, don't-cha'know eh?
Black Owl Posted March 23, 2011 Author #6 Posted March 23, 2011 I think you Minnesoooooooooooooooooooooooooooootans are just too close to canadia and some of the 'weird' stuff rubs off on you. I know the U.P. had some interesting canadian rub off shenanigans... Ya, don't-cha'know eh? You may be right. It's all those dang Canucks sneaking across the border to get a taste of the "good life." Besides, they need to come south to warm up a bit...
CaptainJoe Posted March 23, 2011 #7 Posted March 23, 2011 Black owl, "Not intended to open more debate on which is best. " Your a very smart man... LOL Without information on how you ride and a miriad of other vital information, it's pointless to make any claim on which is best. There is no frame of reference... I tried to collect some stats on this once but no-one was interested. That itself spoke volumes to me. LOL:whistling:
Rocket Posted March 24, 2011 #8 Posted March 24, 2011 BTW: You ready for Cody? or are we going to have to wait for you (as usual)? Steve beats you over to PIP, so he will probably be waiting for you, as per normal......

bongobobny Posted March 24, 2011 #11 Posted March 24, 2011 Yah! Just loked at Conti's Tuesday and ended up buying a Dunlop E3 for $40 less and the Dunlop is rated much higher for load...
twigg Posted March 24, 2011 #13 Posted March 24, 2011 I'm sticking (sic) with the Bridgestone Spitfire ll. $90, including shipping for a rear with Bridgestone moulded into it seems decent to me And it's "moulded" and "tyre"
greg_in_london Posted March 24, 2011 #14 Posted March 24, 2011 Trouble is that the catalogue is dated 2008, three years ago and the 120/90H18 TK16 Conti-Tour is no longer available - not on this side of the pond anyway. In any case, I still haven't found if they've agreed to replace the one that I had that had split, but that's partly my fault for not chasing it up.
bongobobny Posted March 25, 2011 #15 Posted March 25, 2011 bongobobny, where'd ya get the E3 tires?Around the corner at Pioneer motorsports, they even had one in stock!! Any tire dealer should be able to order one for you. I'm mounting a rear tire on the front of mine...
