I am looking for the part number for the air hose from the crankcase to the breather box, which would be the larger hose.(back center of box) All diagrams I found only show one hose, which is the smaller one in the frone right corner. Can anyone help:fingers-crossed-emo

Oh, I have an 84 VR. thanks

I think this might be what you are after.

It is shown on the radiator hose page of the parts fiche.

SkyDoc has a vent that replaces that thing. I've been thinking about it and wishing I had it every time I pull the Air Box. Think I'll get rid of the Air Box while I'm at it.

Dingy:

looked into it, and that is not the same hose, but thanks anyway

PS: looked around some more, and think I found it under "cylinder head" part # 26H-1111J-00, but it shows 2 pipes required. On one site I looked at they were discontinued. Found it on another site for $15. Anyway, thats my 2 cents worth

The new hose available is a bit shorter than the OEM that came on the bike. This is due to the change they made (per service bulletin) that connects the drain hose from the front left corner back to a "T" at the bottom of the breather hose where it connects back at the crankcase.

The new hose is just a tad shorter due to that connection. I added an inch and a half of hose with a splicer to make up for it.

I added a PDF file of the service notice. Crummy copy but you'll get the idea.

I have a used one intact free for the asking, provoiding I didn't throw it out already! I just replaced mine with PVC tubing slightly longer for ease of removing and reinstalling the airbox. Just PM me your mailing address...

It probably would if I shipped it from the States, but luckily I'm going to Kitchener Ontario this weekend for Marcarl's March Madness M&E. It will be in a document mailer along with a length of new hose if you want to go that route...
