hipshot Posted November 21, 2007 #1 Posted November 21, 2007 for all of you OLD TIME riders. is there a limit as to how many bells that you can attach to your scoot? is more than ONE , more effective than a single bell? do you have to "dump" the gremlins , into a trash bin, periodically? i'm just trying , to get a grip on this bell thing. just jt
juggler Posted November 21, 2007 #2 Posted November 21, 2007 I've seen a few bikes here locally that have dozens of bells on them. The things must sound like a wind chime driving down the street. I think it's up to personal discretion and how many 'friends' you have that think you need all the help you can get.
86er Posted November 21, 2007 #3 Posted November 21, 2007 f............................................................................................................ do you have to "dump" the gremlins , into a trash bin, periodically? ............................................................................. just jt The gremlins get caught in the bell and the constant dinging drives them to distraction, causing them to lose their grip, thus falling to the pavement and being left behind the speeding scoot!!
Bummer Posted November 21, 2007 #4 Posted November 21, 2007 ..thus falling to the pavement and being left behind the speeding scoot!! And when they hit the pavement they cause potholes. Many continue to live in their potholes until another vehicle comes close enough to latch onto. This explains why so many mechanical problems happen after getting too close to a pothole. I have a sterling silver angel bell my mother gave me hanging under the bike right now. I'm planning to add a VentureRider bell. When it comes to blessings and good luch one can't have too much.
Johnh Posted November 21, 2007 #5 Posted November 21, 2007 It's very important to place the bell as low as possible on the bike so gremlins have less chance of regaining their grip as they fall off.
