BigDawg Posted March 16, 2011 Share #8 Posted March 16, 2011 So the contest is to win a little puddle jumper, but my question to you is, how many of you have purchased the Yamaha Extended Service Warranty? From much of what I have read here the 5 year warranty is difficult to get service from, so whats everybody/anybodys opinion of the Y.E.S.? I'll be finding out next week how the 5 year warranty works, I've got the electrical problem with the headlights as well as the radio shorting out.... Y.E.S. Or NO?? thanks! Chinto Posted March 17, 2011 Share #10 Posted March 17, 2011 I have the Yamaha extend coverage on an 01 V Star Custom which paid for some repairs within the period. As far as the RSV 5 year I have a two warranty repairs with no problems.
RandyR Posted March 17, 2011 Share #11 Posted March 17, 2011 It appears one must buy Yes coveridge at the time you purchase a vehicle from a Yamaha Dealer (only). FOR USED VEHICLES The term of the Y.E.S. Contract for your used Yamaha vehicle is the number of months of Y.E.S. Contract coverage purchased at the time of used vehicle sale, and is shown in the Declarations. The used vehicle is eligible only if the Yamaha Dealer sells (sold) you the used vehicle and the Y.E.S. Contract on the same day. Yamaha will not provide coverage for used vehicles which are not sold by the Yamaha Dealer.
